One health identity
A reusable patient identity that can connect encounters across participating services.
Mothusi Healthcare · PILLS
PILLS is a digital health identity and connected-care platform being developed to help patients carry their health information between clinics, pharmacies and other care services without depending on a single paper file.

Built around controlled access
The card is an identity and access tool. The health record belongs in the secured platform, with role-aware permissions and an audit trail.
Why PILLS
Paper records can be slow to retrieve, difficult to move between facilities and easy to separate from the patient. PILLS is designed to create a secure digital thread across the patient journey while still supporting printable documents where paper is required.

A reusable patient identity that can connect encounters across participating services.
Consultations, prescriptions, results and follow-ups can be linked instead of existing as isolated records.
Patients see their care journey while professionals use the same record with authorised input tools.
The platform can support digital workflows without removing the ability to print, download or share a controlled document.
How it works
A patient is registered once and connected to a PILLS identity.
A smart health card can be linked to the patient record for secure identification.
Authorised staff open the relevant record and confirm access through the approved workflow.
Visits, prescriptions, results and follow-up information can be carried forward in one record.
The platform
A longitudinal record designed to move with the patient between participating points of care.
Keep prescription information connected to the patient instead of relying on loose paper alone.
Help patients discover care options and support future remote-consultation workflows.
Generate printable or digital summaries, referrals, prescriptions and care documents from structured information.
Pilot readiness
The pilot approach includes staff onboarding and training around patient enrolment, card use, clinical workflows and data privacy. Service connections and live persistence are being introduced in phases.
